Store Manager Becomes BB's Entrepreneur

BB's Coffee & Muffins, Ireland's number one shopping mall cafe retailer has just franchised two more outlets in Bloomsfield Shopping centre, Bangor Co. Down. Paula Gregory started working for BB's four years ago and quickly moved up the ranks from supervisor to store manager. Within a few short months she has taken a new job, made it a career and has now turned herself into an entrepreneur with two BB's Coffee & Muffins franchises.

"I had been thinking for a while that I wanted to venture out on my own. I looked into a variety of options including starting my own cafe. But I soon found out that starting your own business carried so many risks," commented Paula. "I liked the idea of working with a company that was established and had a proven reputation. When David O'Connor franchise manager, BB's Coffee & Muffins Ireland asked me to do a franchise fair to help sell franchises in Ireland last year, I was delighted. The timing couldn't have been more perfect and I immediately let them know that having my own BB's franchise was the opportunity I was looking for."

Paula has tripled her business in three short months and with the purchase of her second location within the Bloomfield Shopping Centre she's expecting to continue the growth in the coming year. Employing 6 full time and 8 part time staff Paula expects to add 10 employees when the second location opens in early september.

The second location, a BB's kiosk located at the opposite end of the Mall to her first store, will not only offer BB's fresh baked goods and coffee but also has New Zeland Natural products and Juice Junction, a fresh juice and smoothie bar.

BB's is the European licensor for New Zeland Natural products - 100% natural premium ice cream, frozen yoghurt and sorbet, all made without artificial colours or flavourings. BB's also own a chain of smoothie bars called Juice Junction that operate in primary and secondary shopping centres.

BB's Coffee & Muffins is a supportive and collaborative franchisor. The company recently opened its Limerick based training academy where new franchisees and managers receive training in all aspects of running the business. "We consider training to be of paramount importance. As a new BB's Coffee & Muffins franchise partner, you will recieve comprehenisve and ongoing training, to ensure you and your team can deliver the highest quality products and services to your customers which will be fundamental to the success of your business," added David O'Connor.
